  • Help with the internet
  • Filling in non-financial forms
  • Help moving furniture
  • Minor DIY
  • Changing lightbulbs and fuses

If the help you need is not listed, please contact our Co-ordinator to discuss if we can help. If your requirement is for longer term or regular help, whilst we can assist in the short term, where appropriate, we will introduce you to our preferred service partners. If in any situation we are unable to help, then we will do our best to suggest an alternative source of assistance.

What you need to do:

  1. Contact our Coordinator by calling 07939 685537 Monday to Friday.
  2. Our Coordinator will discuss your needs with you and then try and locate a suitable volunteer.
  3. The Coordinator will call you back with the name of the volunteer and details of the arrangements.

If we are unable to help you on a particular occasion, then our Coordinator will try to direct you to an alternative source of assistance. This may be one of our preferred service providers or, if we are aware, another organisation who may be able to provide assistance.

It is important when requesting assistance that you provide as much notice as possible so that we have maximum opportunity to fulfil your request.

What it will cost you:

All of our volunteers provide their time free of charge. The only occasion you will incur a charge is if you require transportation outside of the village. In this instance, you will be asked to pay for petrol and any parking charges.

If the journey is totally within the village, or to one of our named locations, there will be no charge.

When a charge is involved, the Coordinator will advise you of the amount when they confirm the arrangements and payment will be due to the driver before the start of the journey.

If you would like to make a donation at any time, our Volunteer will provide you with an envelope to place it in.  Any such donation will be used to offset the costs of running the service and is entirely optional.
